I am in need of gaining 20-25 lbs of muscle. There is no way i can gain fat…and this has been proven by myself with the high fat and high carb diet that i am on now…not forgetting the junk food…
Plenty of protein is the key…am i correct? I am currently drinking about 240 grams a day and trying to lift the gym…correctly, while still doing track workouts. I am trying to make the US Bobsled and Skeleton team. My speed is there and my strength is coming back. What are the best muscle builder/weight gaining lifts and exercises and supplements that I can get my hands on…and believe me, if i have to live in my car so that i can afford it, so be it…i have done it before…
I knew I would find you out here mann. You don’t waste any time do you. I see Mt. Sac has you amped, me too. I worked out hard with B Lewis today. I will be ready for Modesto. All you had to do is ask me. Nah, but these guys are right. You going to have to start lifting heavier with less reps 6-8 3-4 sets. It sounds like you protein in take is cool.
right now i am about 185-190 lbs…i would like to get to about 200-210lbs. in my short time of sprinting, i have noticed that the heavier i am, the stronger i am and the faster i am…
plus, being lighter than average for a bobsled guy…the harder it is for u to get in the door…
i agree with zoom…
also its going to be real tough to gain that much weight with such an active lifestyle as yours. lifting and sprinting is burning up sooo many calories that is why you are right supplementation and diet may be of extreme importance if you want to reach this goal. wheather or not you have a fast metabolism will also be a main limiting factor that you may not be able to change.
ok, now i pretty much have the dieting thingy down, now on to the weights…low reps, heavy weights…is this the key to gaining mass and keeping speed and expLOsive power?..ie, squats, cleans, bench, rows…should some of the other exercises be thrown in there…curls and tricep extentions, leg curls…and things of that nature?
