Blakes 200 time is absolutely bananas!!! What a fkn drop!!! Good for him.

Agreed! I really would like to see his splits for the race. The first 100 he wasn’t a factor…2nd 100m was lights out.

Also, I dont think Gay’s bend was as fast as it looked or as the announcers made it seem. Ryan Bailey simply got blasted! (21.45…yikes)

ryan bailey: I read an article about his history and progressions, his coach. It said he broke both big toes when first starting out in track at high school One of them coming out of the blocks in practice or sometin, cast for sometime and healed up, then broke the other one when he started training again. I’ve never really looked up a broken .big toe or phalange or whatever, butis it basically a very bad worst case of turf toe ?

Looked to be his best 200 race thus far until he pulled up at 170. Still young (21?) and somewhat raw. It’ll be interesting to see how he progresses since he skipped the D1 college route.

Am I reading those Men’s and Women’s 800m times correctly? Wow, and Maggie Vessey 11th?

Yeah, wow. And Jermaine Gonzalez in the 4.

I’m as shocked as you are!

I really enjoy the track level shot in slo mo. Yohan had superior hip height and leg ext. coming home. Absolutely phenomenal run by the young man.

What was his pr before that?

20.60…

You going to the Euro Champs?

I wish. Barcelona one of my favourite cities. Maybe PJ will be there???
