I think Miami’s winning attitude was there long before swasey. Do you want to try to convince schnellenberger or jimmy johnson that swasey deserves the credit? Sociology seems to be swasey’s strong point. I think that Tony Robbins might be in for trouble in the motivational speaking department!! Miami’s success is due more to the “OVERALL” attitude at Miami which seems to be: Come one, come all, we will dominate you!!
I think you hit the nail on the head speedkills
ESPN, I don’t understand what your question is.
Speedkills, Miami does have that dominating attitude developed back in the 80’s. My previous posts explain why.
Having working relationships with several Miami players, they personally attest(sp) to Swasey’s contribution to their success. Why do so many NFL players head back to Miami to train in the offseason? Certainly they can get laid in other warm climates.
For the same reason they go to Miami in the first place: the swagger. Miami has that attitude. Hey, I know guys from UT who give Jeff Madden credit for their development, but I ain’t sending anybody to “Mad Dog” anytime soon!! I think peer review is important though, and if you think Swasey is a good coach, cheers to him!! I am not nearly as familiar with his program and I happen to think he’s suspect.
Something I stumbled across, take a look

archuleta big bench was just a byproduct of his training. at no point during his work with schroeder was that his goal, to bench 500 lbs. if you are at all familiar with the way adam trains you will kno that his goal is o teach his body to absorb force. so after 6 years of having two guys drop him from 9 feet in the air an landing in a pushup position he by circumstance was able to bench over 500. in jays gym how much you can bench an squat have nothing to do with prowess. its how much force you can absorb how fast you can create force and can you get in the proper position to best use your bodies abilities these are the things that are important to athletes not how much you can put up on the bench press. if you ever get a chance to talk to adam he will tell you that himself. now if after all this training to become a better athlete and not a better bencher you bench goes through the roof, all the better.
