Meet in Warsaw for the 14th World Olympic Collectors’ Fair

If you are passionate about sport and Olympism, if you are looking for a particular item, or if you are missing a piece from your collection, meet in Warsaw from 29 to 31 May 2009 for the 14th World Olympic Collectors’ Fair. This edition will start the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Polish Olympic Committee. Co-organised by the NOC with the IOC’s Olympic Philately, Numismatics and Memorabilia Commission and The Olympic Museum in Lausanne, the Fair will host one of the pioneers in the Olympic collectors’ world, Juan Antonio Samaranch, IOC Honorary President and Chairman of the Commission.
Collectors from Across the World
Collectors from across the world are expected in Warsaw to exchange, buy, sell, compare and complete their collections of pins, mascots, torches, medals, official documents, stamps, photographs, films, autographs, posters, postcards or any other item bearing the Olympic rings. Public access is free.

A Philatelic Show
Preceding the Fair, a philatelic show will offer visitors the opportunity to discover the best 12-14 Olympic and sports collections from 15 to 31 May. A Coca-Cola 1996 pins show and the A. Szaliewicz collection show will also be on the programme of festivities. Special stamps, cancellations and medallions by the Polish Mint will be issued and struck. To register for the Fair, please contact Joanna Huzarska-Tomaszewska at jhuzarska@pkol.pl.
