My females do a lot of work on max strength, mainly because they have little of any strength, and it becomes a limiting factor in their play time in university teams because the game is more physical.
We squat heavy, step ups, 1-leg squats, reverse hypers, weighted push ups, floor presses, pull ups as our main lifts. Just started doing deadlifts which will be another main lift, so currently we are in teaching phase and weights are light.
