She was (I believe she still can be) a great athlete. her running style was unique but the same time so fragile. Back in 97 Athens World Championship I was there saw her pull her hamstring just before her semifinal 200m race. Since then she never ran fast again. Her escape from JS and trial to train for 2000 Olympics with Koch’s husband Meier (If I’m spelling his name correct) was not succesfull. I saw her again in Paris this year watching the games and she looked in good mood, but complained about some back problems. I’m sure she is not thinking to retire and wants to run a last fast race…!
