Hello Charlie, I remember you mentioning BJ having a couple of early season late night meets I am curious what kind of nutrition you recommend in these situations?
How late. For 5 o clock meets I like to eat as if I am going to practice. Or I eat regular. Ill eat breakfast and lunch bunch nothing that will stay in you too long.
I normally train early in the A.M., I have a meet at 7:30pm…
Just eat three or four hours before. Sometimes the 100m is the feature event in GP meets meaning they run at 11pm but it’s never been a problem as long as it’s still warm. Anything can be adjusted for.
Thank you. Suppose to be around 60 degrees at that time, I will dress like it’s 40 degrees because I am having a tough time getting warm at my meets.
I agree with CF, whenever I do evening meets I just work backwards and make sure I eat 4 hours before, with probably a slightly later breakfast.
The biggest problem is trying not to eat too much through boredom during the day!
Just pay a visit to your toilet
