I understand what you mean about the amounts being hard. I’m going the other way, trying to put on some weight, and getting the food in me is kinda hard.
You keeping track of how many meals a day?? I find it helps when I have my meals already divided in little tupperware pots, so all I have to do is grab the meal when the alarm sounds. Stick it in the microwave and eat.
It’s an Idea at least (the only downside is that I end up eating the same thing about 4 times in one day)
I can’t always prepare things ahead of time but I don’t always have to, since a lot of my diet consists of eating raw fruits and veggies which I can just grab. Bell peppers and plums have been big lately, also portable stuff like yogurt. If I have time, i make myself eggs or tuna and other things that require some kind of preparation. I have decided that cottage cheese is a “safe” food, so that and tea have helped with post-workout hunger at night.
The sticky part is that I’m losing weight (slightly) and I know I don’t need too and probably shouldn’t be at all. But so it goes… if I get below 110 lbs I’ll know i’ve gone a little overboard. as i said to fabio- see my avatar? that looks normal to me! the media sucks.
Girl!!! you gotta get some more meat and protein into you, plus some nice carbs!!! think … spagghetti and a spicy meata ball, or something, you can’t keep going on just veggies and fruits. Think about a cheetah or any animal that eats mainly meats (sharks too) and you’ll see they’re really lean, but also incredibly strong, and sleek. (If it’s the BF that worries you)
and you’re avatar…that’s just plain freaky girl. at least here in Chile the media is mad about meatier women (latin culture)who would’ve guessed huh. here’s an example of a Chilean hottie, you’ll inmediately see the difference.

It probably bears mentioning that I only eat seafood and chicken, and turkey maybe a couple times a month. I don’t eat ONLY fruits and veggies! I don’t tend to sit down and have 3 meals a day- I eat dinner with my family most days of the week and otherwise I mostly pick and snack during the day depending on when I am training… the picking and snacking is a lot of fruit/vegs.

I don’t really know what was up, I was pretty tired and everything was kind of erratic. I need to train earlier so that I can have caffeine before I go, because when I do I have much better sessions.

I see your point with the lack of difference. THe truth is that the other ones were kinda fat, so I didn’t wanna post them. but if you want my opinion… your avatars arms (on the left) and the legs on the right… are a little too lanky for my taste.
The good news though is that now I know you’re eating meat (be it chicken or fish).
I really can’t figure out why you’re dropping weight other than a lack of “bad” carbs.
that is exactly my point… my diet is very good and balanced but I am probably dropping weight not only from a lack a “bad” carbs but also primarily from calorie restriction, plain and simple.
I know they’re skinny… you don’t even want to know what kind of site I came across them on! :rolleyes:
Eat like a bird… lift like a bird. If you don’t put on some mass you’ll be a poor sprinter. If you want the anorexic look, try the marathon and 10,000m+. Go look at Angela Issajenko’s legs in training for speed.
Went to phys therapy again and got ultrasound and massage. My lower leg was really tight (not the calf, but pinealis…? something like that) and I guess the ankle itself was a little swollen.

I restrained myself from going on the elliptical because I didn’t have a huge breakfast and I was ready for food and it probably wouldn’t have been a great idea.
Phys therapist also told me to ice… a LOT. So i guess off to do that before i go for my massage in a couple hours.
well its seems to me that you should be cramming everything you can find into your mouth. cuz it doesnt seem like you get even close to enough food. what i ate yesterday was something like:
3 bowls of cereal
at least 3 burritos (i think 4 or 5)
at least 3 tamales (i think 4, not sure)
a few hot pockets
i eat like crap right now cuz im at my dads house, but eat more! MORE! always eat, food is your friend. and i do outweigh you by 40 pounds probably, but still.
went in for a half-hour massage since thats about what i can afford, but this massage dude LOVES me. He gave me an hour and a half of work, focusing on my back, hamstrings, and piriformis, and only charged me for half an hour. I’ll have to get him a present or something, it’s almost embarassing to accept such a nice favor!
hmmm… what did i eat today? we’ll compare.
-a couple bites of cottage cheese and a couple slices of mango (rushing out the door)
-medium bowl of rice+ chicken, pepper, mushroom, pinepapple stir-fry
-2 graham crackers and some raisins
-1 nectarine
-1/2 bell pepper
-1 samosa (vegetarian)
-some raspberries, couple more bites of c. cheese
-a lot of water and some tea
this wasn’t the best day planning-wise though, I was expecting to have time to get something better together for dinner at work, but my massage went so far over that I was in a hurry. when I’m not working I usually eat with my family and those meals tend to be a bit more substantial.
chill chile keep the horse in the stable. kra, your food supply sucks, though its not as bad as a friend of mine i was talking to last night. you should make a bunch of giant sub sandwichs or something and just keep eating them though the day. i eat pretty much whenever food is handy and i still stick around 150-155. also if you have a six pack your probably getting unhealthily low in bodyfat…so fatten up! and it seems your massager person like giving you massages…really likes it ;). females should beware of nice males…
I really don’t think this is the best advice. Kra, why not add in some healthy fats; you could make a anticatabolic cocktail or just add some udos into your diet. I don’t think a six pack means you’re getting unhealthily low in bf but if you’re beginning to look like your avatar that probably is unhealthy.
