Olympic heptathlon champion Carolina Kluft will miss the rest of the season because of a thigh injury.
The Swede first sustained the injury when she fell over a hurdle during a meeting last year, after which she was sidelined for a month.
The Swede won gold at the recent European Championships in Gothenburg.
“She was very disappointed but she was relieved to find out why she has been in pain,” said Sverker Nilsson, the Swedish Athletic Association’s doctor.
