Korir finished nearly five minutes in front of hisnearest rival, fellow Kenyan Paul Bor, but the lack ofopposition meant he finished more than a minute outsidethe course record set last yet, which stands to anotherKenyan Timothy Cherigat at 2:09:34.
Kenya made it a 1-2-3 in the men’s race after DavidMaiyo finished third but local athletes dominates thewomen’s event, won by Remedios Alonso in 2:45:04.
