sexy graph…now what to do after viewing this information.
don’t know what happened… but she when from like 1.03 to .95… pretty big drop… the 40-50m probably should’ve been .97 or .98… and 80-90 and 90-100 left about .03-04 to pick up as well… that’s why I said on the right track under the right conditions she may go sub-10.70. she “could’ve” gone around 10.85 at USATF.
I took a look at these stats very closely.
I took each athlete and counted how many times they hit their HIGHEST VELOCITY over the entire race from start to finish.
Here’s my findings:
1 Kelli White .94 (2) @ 40m & 60m
2 Torri Edwards .95 (1) @ 60m
3 Gail Devers .97 (2) @ 50m & 70m
4 Inger Miller .95 (1) @ 70m
5 Chryste Gaines .96 (1) @ 60m
6 Angela Williams .98 (2) @ 40m & 60m
7 Lauryn Williams .97 (1) @ 60m
8 Angela Daigle 1.00 (2) @ 50m & 70m
-
Note only two ladies covered their last 30 to 60 m & 60 m to 90 m under 3 sec during both section ( I. Miller & K. White)… Miller 2.94/2.98 >>>>> White 2.88/2.90
-
I. Miller also covered her last 10 m (90 to 100 m) faster than the winner (White) in . 98 vs 1.00.
Ang. Williams had the slowest 10 m split out of all the women after 30 meters.
From my conclusion I must say the HIGHEST VELOCITY won this race.
10.93 to 11.13
More studies later!

Maybe it’s the breathing pattern
that cause the drop in speed hahah

During Flo Jo’s 10.54 she hit .91 over 30 m… from 60m-70m .91, 70 m -80 m .91 and 80 m -90 m .91… That’s all speed strength… Notice no women hit 3 w/ their highest velocity?
That’s the weakness in women sprinting…

just got back in town… here’s the women’s 400m data… if i get time today i’ll post the men’s sprint data
