Julien training program

Well seeing all those training journal , I decided to make one for me for future use or for you guy to critique me. Ive been training for track for now around 1 year and time are around
11.9x for 100m,24,xx for 200m and 54-55 for400m.(Last real comp was like in june so I figure my time are now around this, im training alone so i cant really time myself perfectly)
Im 16 , weights 140 pounds and im around 5.9.
Mainly going to train for 400m, with the hope of being in Canada 400m team in a few years.

I took the training program there, posting it since I have no intention of stealing anything.

Well did this today.

  1. Warm-up: 1200m cross country run
    2. Flexibility exercises
    3. 4 x 350 (Event Run) Speed 55 sec/Rest 10 minutes
  2. Cool down 1200m cross country run
  3. May do some weights later in the day

Last one was hard but I still managed to do it… still felt sore in the calf from previous training on monday so ill take it easy the next fews days and ill go get a massage soon.

Edit: By the way…feel free to critique or give me advice about the program im following or anything you may want… I’m open to suggestion.

The hart program is very good, but do a forum search before applying it verbatim… many have noted that this is a much higher volume than Warnier or MJ actually do.

I felt good during all the training… probably could have pushed the last one a bit more but decided not to since this wasnt suposed to be a high intensity run…
It was also very windy so slowed me a bit

Today Training

  1. 0.5km jogging
  2. Flexibility exercises
  3. 2km timed run: Made it in 8 mins… didnt really pushed at all

Just bought my car today so now ill be able to go train everyday, so Ill be able to do the training program decently.

Starting the program for real this monday… and i dont want to miss any training.

Felt nice enough, i thought my second 600m would be slower and but it was faster, i know ive been relaxed tru it which is probably why it been faster.
But then again a 600m in that time isnt near my top 600m time at all… so i may just have misjudged my race.

Starting the program for real today… so its good for me.
