KitKat, This is not appropriate, I come to this forum to learn about exercise and nutrition, not for this crap. I am not sure what country you are from, but he is the president of the United States and should be respected for serving in that position just as presidents who have served before him and President-elect Obama who serve after him whether you personally agree with him or not. I understand freedom of speech and you are probably trying to be funny, but this post belongs on a different site.

Very Funny

Its in the off topic section, get over it.

It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. Respect needs to be earned. Clearly “W” has not.

Most of the people he hasn’t earned respect from aren’t really worth worrying about.

A lot of countries don’t like the US, but if the foreign aid check didn’t clear they’d be pretty upset.

That being said, I would still rather talk about track.

Not to pry KK, but when’s the last time you lead the free world through a time of great change and uncertainty?

I don’t support a lot of what Bush has done, but I believe that if the US is ever going to regain its post WWII supremacy its citizens will need to band together and reforge their sense of national identity. In order to do this, we’ll need to support our leader, whether we voted for him or not. I know I didn’t vote for Obama, but now that he’s been elected, I’m going to give him my support 100%.

I know you’re an Australian (well, I’m pretty sure you are), but that last thing we need in this day and age is more stuff trying to divide us.

Detractors: Get a grip! I didn’t make up anything on this list. I didn’t write it either. Shield your own eyes from truth if you will, but don’t deny others the right to information please. Oh, and by the way, this list almost certainly will have been compiled by Americans who love the USA, as do I. If you still don’t get it, then you have a problem.

At least in the U.S., we are inundated with politics almost 24/7. TV, radio, web, etc. Personally, I come to this site for track. I would much prefer to hear your views on training than your views on a politician. If we are going to have politics on this site, I’d rather it be track politics, like all the interesting and amusing stuff you Aussies put up about your track administration, coach and team selection, etc.

It was in the “OFF TOPIC POSTS/DISCUSSIONS” … jeeeezzz…
If you are here for track, read everything but the “Off Topic” threads, it’s too simple.

it’s in the off topic section and nobody forced anyone to read it.

if anything, bagging bush is making people more united, since he appears to be so universally unliked as a president. didn’t his approval ratings get into single figures? the guy is/was president of the united states, but not through any means that I believe are worthy of earning respect. he lied and cheated his was into power supported by his father and the powerful connections he made in business. the world would be a very different place right now had he lost florida. and, ironically, with global warming we may eventually all lose florida for good… :stuck_out_tongue:

Bush is gone long live Obama.

This is an interesting issue, lets stay on point here. Going forward, lets keep politics off the forum and stay focused on sport.

A joke may be funny to one, but may offend another so I’d suggest we keep politics on the sidelines…there are so many sites out there to have a jab at. This is not one of them. We’d also like to send a big hello out to everyone doing a tour in the middle east-be well. (I chat with a few members that actually check our site out when they are free to do so).

Spoken like a true supporter of liberal democracy!
