Please comment on this athlete’s technique. (Photo sequence)
The photo sequence shows one of my heptathletes, Nicola throwing a PR of 35.09m in the javelin. She is only 15 years old, so I think 35 is decent, but I’d like to push her up to 40m. Her technique still has many flaws and I’d appreciate it if the experts could please comment and give some pointers.
I’m not a javelin thrower, but my wife is. First, i think her javelin angle is too high, she is dropping the tail. Her weight is to forward, instead of staying back on the right leg and rotating the right hip before any right arm swing. her block is ok but left leg is still too bent(third and forth from left). Again not an expert with jav. but hopefully this can help?
