Easy taper week preparing for Simplot. I’m going to take about a week of easy exercise to relaxe afterwards, and then put the pedal to the metal on my training. Aeorobic maintinence and Anerobic develepment is what’s on the table, baby.

They didn’t want me running the 200, cause I think that they thought I could do better in the 800. The race itself was awesome. I played my cards right and ran an extremely planned race. Get in top 4 in the first 100, and pass one guy every straightaway. Didn’t work out as I planned, but I ended up third nonetheless. In an indoor track I think that it might be a little tougher to pass 1 guy every straightaway. Heh, let’s see if I can do it.

12 Mile Relay. Teams of about 6-8 people run 12 total miles in segments of 200 meters. A runner can skip a pass and continue on through for another 200 meters, hence runner a 400.
My team won! Woot… we just kind of chilled back in 4-5 place letting our girl runners run pretty evenly with our guys, until the last 2 miles when the state xc runner up, the league 800 champ, and myself all decided to work a 3 man relay team. We totaled everyone by about 45 seconds.
UNfortunately I drank no watter during this greuling hour long event and both my calves exploded (or cramped depending on your point of view) in the car ride home. I lied, I screamed like a little pansy while trying to get my cramped ass into the Range Rover.

I almost did 8 200’s but 40 meters into it my calve warned me of a very large cramp that was on its way if I didn’t take it easy. So I took a short break, and went to my cooldown/stretches right away.

Sticks were fun, but it really helps that I’ve got better accel now. It makes my killer speed endurance WAY more effective.

Great day I triple golded in all of my events. I also gave my relay teams some pretty big leads with those fantasmitatical starts. My brother anchored a perfect 880, outkicking a better miler than him (but not a better halfmiler :slight_smile:
My voice was horse by the end of the day, and my skin was (and is) burnt bright red.

40 min long run. It felt great to go through the trees and the rocks. RMC should have a civil suit filed for negligence. The trees on their property have fallen onto the path, that was washed away by their faulty repair job. grr
