In-Season Weights

two questions:

  1. what if my bench isnt very heavy, and i never do sets of less than 3 reps? my max is probably low 200’s, so could i do benching closer to meets and probably be okay? (esp because many of the meets are worthless handtimed duel meets, and i plan to use them as training sessions)

  2. what would you reccommend switching in for squats to get a lower body stimulus? they have been a block of my leg strength program, so i am afraid if i drop TOO much emphasis on them then my strength levels could deplete along with some start power
