Im trying the Ato Strategy...

but when im running im catching people running faster than me out of the corner of my eye, and its making me want to run the race full out. Is there a way to fix this? also, I ran a 6.26 (dont laugh) in the 45m, and I wanted to know what that translated to in the 100; and 200m.

Evilgoosey,

When you race, you need to focus on YOUR race and YOURS alone. If you focus on what others are doing around you, you are going to tighten up, and after that it’s all over from there. Be patient. It takes time, but if you can manage to just stay relaxed and let it come, you will run much more efficient. As far as converting your 45m time, there are too many variables that come into play: Your speed endurance, special endurance, top speed, etc… Your race times are enough proof you’ll need without worrying about how your times will convert to a 100, 200, etc…

what im thinking is modifying the ato strategy like this: Take it easy the first 50, like ato says, than at the 150m, try to put in another drive phase. what do you think?
