though lewis is’nt in the best shape, i think lewis has his own physical talents, for a big heavyweight he is athletic and fast.
Lewis fights best when he is afraid! and i think he is abit, this is good.

Also lewis v Jones shit, this should not happen Jones is not a heavy weight he is too small, his frame is not big enough.
He won is heavy weight title pure, on boxing skills and speed, but if he came up against tyson it would be a different story.
Jones is the greatest light heavy weight all time.

I’m no boxing expert, but regarding the chin, speed and force are more important than frame? Jones has greater speed…but I’m not sure who has more force on contact…

Lennox Lewis retained the WBC title in controversial circumstances when Vitali Klitschko was stopped after the sixth round.
Klitschko had a deep cut above his left eye but led on the judges’ scorecards when officials ruled he could not continue.
In the referee’s opinion, the cut had been caused by a punch, which meant that Lewis was automatically declared the winner.
If it had been ruled that the cut had been caused by a headbutt, Klitschko would have won the title, as he was ahead on the scorecards.
The decision was greeted with boos around the Staples Center.
Lewis came into the fight heavier than at any time in his career, and it showed throughout.
The Briton looked in poor shape and was breathing heavily by round two as Klitschko landed several heavy right-hands.

A shock seemed on the cards, but Lewis gathered himself in the third and he received encouragement when a deep cut appeared above the challenger’s left eye.
As early as the fourth round both fighters appeared close to exhaustion and each looked, at times, close to going down.
But Klitschko was dominant, frequently forcing Lewis back and stunning him with an array of punches.
The challenger proved his durability when two huge Lewis uppercuts in the sixth failed to drop him.
At the end of that round, Lewis slumped into his corner and looked every one of his 37 years.
But the Ukrainian had no chance to take advantage as the fight was stopped before he could come out for the seventh.
For a brief moment, it seemed like the fight would continue and it took some time for MC Michael Buffer to read out the official verdict.
Lewis was booed on his exit from the ring, while Klitschko’s gallant performance was loudly cheered.
The champion said that a rematch was a possibility if “the money is right”.
Lewis improves his record to 41 wins, two defeats and one draw, while Klitschko suffered his second defeat against 31 wins.
yeah i thought he was hit by a headbutt but they kept claiming it was a right hook. i liked the end of the fight when lewis was talking to larry merchant and sayed he would have knocked out Klitschko in a few more rounds.
lewis has no class (but in boxing i guess he does relative to his fellow colleagues-aka tyson). post fight all he did was talk smack about a guy who just kicked(or punched) his ass all over the ring, but i guess his head was still spinning from the heavy right hands of Vitali.
he’s lucky he escaped with his title intact. he was clearly out boxed. he was fat and ripe for a fall.
i feel bad for the ukrainian. he showed more heart than lewis ever has and unfortunately i dont think he’ll get a rematch imo. if he does lewis would wisely prepare for it. saturday was vitali’s night to shock the world, and i think he did
Lewis was out of shape and overweight. Klitchko Should have whipped his ass but he had no power. He doesnt want to meet a on shape lewis cause he would get beat to sleep. lewis was done after the first round but klitsco couldnt get red of him. Klitsko sucks.
Lewis was not in good shape, alittle bit silly of him. But that just shows the class of the man, Vitally was hitting lewis and lewis laffed.
I think if they have the rematch lewis will win, this time by knockout, he will prepare better because i think he was alittle shocked by Vitally performance.
There is no Big Heavy Weight out there, am talking about the riddick bowes, the Vitally and his brother, none of them can handley the speed power and pin point acurrate regulating punches.
But lewis needs to be in better shape, when he next fights, i think this was affecting his style, lewis i think was too relaxed to.

I sense that lewis will retire in about a year or so, there are a few more fights out there for him.
Plus (for me this is the last chance for the fighters who made the 90’s.
Lewis is one of my favourite fighters, but so is tyson.

LEWIS has never duck no one in his career beat everyone he has stepped in the ring with, yES VITALLY showed heart but, he was not good enough to get rid of lewis personally, i think lewis was going to knock out him anyway.
Vitally was hurt off a jb from lewis just a jab, if i was lewis i would be happy with my performance (the fact of the matter is that he won).
He was not in fight but he took punches off the best contender out there, plus hurt him.
The greatest fight i have ever saw lewis in was, Shana Briggs! the true lennox lewis power came out.
Lewis has class because, he knows that he is a big heavy weight, but he still sticks to the game plan. Boxers he has the best boxing skills out there, vitally had no real skils just power!

I disagree, vitali was throwing combos, and wasn’t KOing him so I think the opposite is true. However I’m sure he has plenty of power anyway, he shook lewis well.

The only way Lewis was going to win was early round ko, TKO (which he did) or went the distance.
V gave it to lewis early - he had to ko him.
A rematch should result and I don’t think Lewis will come in looking fat again.

WhaT!!! Tyson still has 2 cut over his eyes. You dont take a beating like that for fun. Tyson was and i mean was great, but he will never be that again. Unless he goes back to his orignal trainer. He is done give it up. Tyson was just out classed.
