Just for info.
Ian Mackie returned from injury, and won his first race back.
200m in a time of 21.78s.
I didn’t see the race, so I do not know if he was slowing up. It was a very small article in a Scottish Newspaper.

How old is he now, do you think he has enought time to make a full come back? And what is his best 100m? I hope he can get back in there with the top brits again sometime soon.
Ian MacKie is now 28
His best 100m time is 10.17 in 1996
Is now looking at 400m and is running this on Sunday in a league meeting
what’s so big about Ian Mackie? who is he?
Beat Christie; beat Bailey. Talented but injury prone.
Ian Mackie ran the 100m and 200m at Meadowbank yesterday not the 400m as my previous post.
100m time 10.2 wind speed 5.4m/s
200m time 21.33 wind speed 1.3m/s
weegie,
I read a very small article on Ian, that said he was going to run some 400s, but, only part of his overall training for the 200s.
He considers himself to be a 200m runner.
I seen the 100 and 200 times in the paper today, but, not the wind speeds.
Wullie
A interview in the Herald on Saturday said that he believes he can make it at international level at 400m and lots of rumours that his training was going in that direction. In todays Herald Brian Whittle reckons he could be a world class 400m runner.
It is just great to see him back competing again after all his injuries hope he makes it.
Weegie,
Couldn’t agree more.
Good luck Ian.
Talking about Scots, whatever happend to the Europien champion Dougie Walker?
