hurdle training by shaver

here’s a look at Dennis shaver’s training program.
Just a question for the forum, do you really need that many warmup and cool down?http://www.nacactfca.org/Shaver%20-%20Hurdle%20Training.pdf
Now if this doesn’t belong here plz. remove

probably not … but the multiple warm-ups and cool-downs provide (1) variety and (2) specificity to each training session.

You do need multiple warm up protocols…for example in this case the the warm up depends on whether you’re doing a speed day or a tempo day.

As an aside this is one among a few of the US collegiate track programs that make sense…i.e., were athletes actually improve from year to year.
