I have also seen this. Sometimes they do 400, 300, 200 on Mondays. I think there was a discussion about their weight training before, I will try and find the link.

i posted numerous times the workouts of the SMTC team and JS has taken tom tellez’ years of work seriously.as far as i know TT worked at UCLA for a while in the 60’s and JS spent along time with him.the workouts are basically the exact same.the onlydiference is both coaches ideas about the head position throughout the acceleration phase

hey sorry xman but would u mind posting the workouts of the smtc team again.

In a post under the “training articles” thread it stated that Mo Green was lifting during the “in-season” not just the off-season. However, Ato Boldon has stated that THEY STOP THE WEIGHTS DURING THE COMPETITION phase.
Can somebody clear up exactly as to when HSI stop the weightlifting (if they ever do) and would weights be used during the phase reported above. I have also seen this above literature aswell.

JS has altered a number of things from what i understand. The length of some reps used, the way reps are run where weights fit into the programme, where speed fits into the programme. I think it would be inaccurate to reach the conclusion you suggested …

24 fitness is world wide…why the deal for europe? Why weight access on the road?

are you joking X-man? I have been to UCLA and watched years ago…let’s get real.

i think its hard to say they stop weight training ALL competition phase cause the way i see it when u think of it how long is their competition phase?
they compete indoors and then outdoor season begins grand prixs golden leagues etc… my point is that their competiton phase can goes on for months so i think weight training has to take part sometime so the strength and power gains are not lost by the end of the season

It also depends on hoe in season is defined.

Clemson, what are you talking about please enlighten us! i don’t joke about my messages or my advice.
