How much EFAs daily?

How much Essential fatty acids/ Omega 3’s is everyone supplementing a day?

I’m just about to start with them, not sure how much to use. In a book I have, it recommends 2-5grams per day, but in some research I have seen them experimenting with much higher amounts.

Anyone feel free to answer, even just with a number.

if you are using fish oil try to aim for 3gms per day of epa/dha combined.

I’m using 9 caps a day
3 with my fat meals

question for the board:
arent the oils in the caps (ie cod liver oil caps) usually destroyed during manufacturing? Im sure i read this somewhere, possibly here

what do you all think of Cod liver oil? It seems more readily available in stores.
