Could I use hills for tempo work - I have not runs hills for about 2 weeks. I’ve been concentrating on the track more via an Isorobic Exerciser for my starts.
I would still like to get some hill work in but I compete again on June 11 and have meets 3 weeks in a row so I feel the need to get more specific with my training.
I thought maybe 10 x 50m hills (about a 25 degree incline) walk down rest and not get too aggressive running up. Good idea or just stick with my regular pool tempo or running tempo - 10 x 120m (24 sec run - 30 sec rest).
There was a similar thread posted about 3 weeks ago on the subject http://www.charliefrancis.com/community/showthread.php?t=9300 . I was thinking of doing the same thing, but after reviewing the replies, decided against it and stuck with tempo on grass.
Good luck in your future meets :)!!
Thanks for the info - yeah I guess if I want the hill work, it will need to put in somewhere, just not as tempo.
I would try and avoid introducing any new elements at this moment…
Good luck!
