Heroes on show at The Museum

On 26 March, The Olympic Museum will see the opening of its biggest temporary exhibition of the year: Heroes, which will run until September. An original, entertaining exhibition with a comic strip background offering a youthful, playful and dynamic approach to an exciting topical subject. What is a hero? What does he represent? How do some athletes go beyond their sporting talents to become a political symbol, inspired inventor, icon of peace, source of inspiration, symbol of modesty or tragic figure? Find out by visiting the exhibition…
Exciting programme of events
In the course of the exhibition, the Education and Cultural Services section will be running an exciting programme of events. These will kick off, from 4 to 19 April, with PÂKOMUZé, the joint initiative by Lausanne museums to attract young visitors during the school holidays. There will be free and guided visits, workshops, shows and the inevitable giant chocolate rabbit for all the family to share on Easter Sunday.
Sand sculpting in the Olympic Park
Then, throughout the spring and summer until the end of the exhibition, other unmissable events will be on offer. From 19 to 24 May, there will be sand sculpting in the Olympic Park, covering all stages from preparing the materials to creating the statues to the glory of some unusual heroes.
