Has anyone read this book?

I am probably going to get it in the next day or so. But I thought I should see if anyone has already read it and wishes they hadn’t spent the time.

Here is an interview with the Author.

I read the original version and found it fascinating, very aggressive toward the IOC…a little obsessive in its attack on certain individuals… forensic in detail in some chapters, rather lacking in others.

But it was a very compelling read - although I felt it bogged down slightly in the detail and character assassination of various FIFA types…

But it may be a better, tighter read now as a couple of Olympics have passed since I read the original book and I’m sure these more recent events have proved fertile ground for further scandalous behaviour behind the scenes at The Big Dance.

Another in the same vein that is a good read is Inside the Olympics: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Politics, the Scandals and the Glory of the Games by Dick Pound
