okay i dont know if i pulled my hamstring near the adductors. But i was doing 10x60m runs with full recovery (5-8mins). All was well but i did 8 and didnt wanna push it cause form was wearing down, did some laps for cooldown, stretched on bus stop. While i was walking though i felt the back of my right hamstring pull little each step but light light pull nothing big. Next day which is today everytiem i walk i feel slight pull like a sharp pain but nothing big, not until i lift my knees to sit on my bed or lay down i feel a sharp pull like im gonna tear the damn thing. I hate this about the hamstrings it feels like your gonna strain it with every step i dont know to distinguish from soreness or pull but this feels like a horrible soreness that can tear any moment. I have no clue suggestions anyone thanks in advance.
Help im unsure whether to go to a meet on the 8th of april. And this is still sore when i run but i dont know if i will coimpletely pull. It is healing but slightly sore the type of soreness after you lift weights. It is a slight strain of teh adductor magnus near teh gracilis. Help somebody suggestions ASAP.
What have you been doing so far? RICE etc. Have you seen a doctor, coach, trainer about this yet?
ya its slight strain of the adductor magnus, near the gracilis. I dont know how long it takes to heal but it feels that i can snap something if i ran max out. I tried rice and ART and suggestions are same. Flexibility power are fine, but when i finish the triple extension and bring up the high knee it i can feel the tinge of the pull of the muscle like it can snap any moment. Damn i have a meet in 2 days and this shit happens. Last year around same time my hip flexor was hurting and soon after i had a hip flexor strain.
i have nearly the same right now. My leg was like yours, but now its getting better.
I guess you have a strain. Do some jogs or slow tempos for a week and DONT RUN AT COMP if you arent 100% recovered!
If you had a pull, you woud have felt it at the sprints. I had it sometimes that you feel it the next day, bc the muscle gets sore and if you are doing any contractions(this also includes the “testing in freetime”) the muscle gets strained or the sorenss increases.
Dont worry, everybody knows this muscle-probs, but they definetely heal, so there could be things which are more difficult…
it is getting better but i still feel soreness, dammit if i go again i will reaggrevate it like 2 weeks ago. It felt fine but during my training i felt imbalanced and i can feel the soreness. Its getting better again this time around but i still feel the soreness it is super faint but i can feel the damn thing. I do rigorous movements to see if it is fine and i feel it abit after the movements dammit this shit doesnt heal quick i feel like a 30 year old man.
You’ve gotta work on keeping it’s strength up so when you do come back you won’t hurt other muscles that are overcompensating. That happened to me and it basically cost me all spike work from December to March.
so how do i work on the adductor magnus just do those adductor machines? or hamstring curls?
