Is it true that if you sprint for along time you actually (physically) get bigger? Thoughts? If its true, how?
I think you get muscular in all the right places, though maybe not necessarily heavier. I can’t speak for everybody but for myself, I always lost weight when I was training hard, so I appeared more ripped, but I was actually lighter.
Yea, I usually drop weight as well during the season. Usually around 10 lbs. Legs get slightly bigger, upper body gets smaller.
i had a skinny freind who got into sprinting, he took it real seriously, had a really good diet to. he isn’t skinny anymore (never touched weights)
Sprinting makes you leaner, wont add or get rid of muscle mass.

That doesn’t mean you are going to hypertrophy those units without subjecting them to some kind of eccentric stress and whatnot. I’d be curious to see anybody who is HUGE from sprinting and only sprinting. Look at guys like Kim Collins–not big at all.
