Hmm, what aspect of sprinting could cause the need for this kind of surgery?
One of the articles states that the surgery is to correct an “impingement” At his age I would guess that it is a congenital issue that is being blamed for his hip pain. I really hope they aren’t grasping at straws here… the decision to do surgery is very risky. If I were his coach, (as if) I would be looking for errors in the training program before cutting into his hip!
