Five-time Olympian Gail Devers and her husband, Mike Phillips, have welcomed their second daughter into their family. Legacy Brielle Phillips was born October 23, measuring up at 6 pounds, 13 ounces and 19 inches long. Legacy’s 2-year-old big sister, Karsen, is busily helping mom with feedings and diaper changes (USATF reports).
Devers ran two meets this year, indoors at Milrose Games (7.86, 2nd in 2007 world lists) and Paris (8.11 in heats, 8.00 in final), where she was in her furst month of pregnancy. Then disappeared from the circuit, in spite of announcing in december 2006 she would compete, and coach and manage hurdler Danielle Carruthers.
