tHIS guy is a first yr athlete, 1 of my triple jumpers… he aso runs… he came with an over strides flaw…he kicked foreleg out when running…
Two links below. In the first vid he is the fourth runner doing an accel…you can see how badly he over extended…

The second video is him a month later doing a speed change run/ pickup in middle zone… he’s landing with the foot more under cent of gravity now, ball of the foot…

Are you timing him?

not much… this was a speed change run so i didn’t… what do you recommend?

I generally time runs for kids who run longer runs…the short ones I time occasionally… I’m more concerned with mechanics on short runs, it seems to = fast if they run efficient… I do time sometimes…
I time recoveries strictly on the other hand
