Favorite training liquids

Thought I would share some of my favorite beverages on a training day. They pack a serious nutritional punch.

hydration-

  1. cocunut water (not from concentrate)

  2. a variation of Joe Defranco’s meathead lemonade;
    For every 20 ounces of water:
    1 squeezed lemon (I use limes because they’re cheaper in bulk)
    1 tsp of pink himalayan salt (80+ trace vitamins and minerals)
    1 packet of stevia
    -go light on the salt at first for taste and amp it up in the summertime to replenish what you sweat out

  3. Intra/post workout shake

  • 8 oz water
  • 1 cup sliced pineapple
    -1/2 cup blackberries
    -1/2 cup blueberries
    -2 tbsps chia seeds
    -1/2 cup spinach
  • 1 serving of vanilla or unflavored grass fed whey
  • I also add creatine, glycine, and liquid vitamin E
