Eating before training

Here are a few training scenarios that often reflect my situation. I would be interested to know how people would plan to eat for these:

  1. very early morning usually 7am (Wake at 6)

  2. morning 10am (wake at 8)

  3. late evening usually begin at 7 or 8pm

Charlie how used Ben eat before a training session or race and how many hours before?
Thanks

Those are very interesting questions, and I have really considered varying an approach to that. If I train first thing, I probably wouldn’t eat first, but if it was at say 10ish, I may have a slice of toast or something equally as light around 8.30. I tend to train in the evening, and I wouldn’t eat after 5 if that was the case.

For 1 and 2 try having a shake with fruit blended in.

when I do tempo run, and i do it inthe morning, i drink a cup of coffe, green tea, if I have it a couple of bcca, and i go tu run.
if the training is more demanding I try whey shake with fruit.
for the second option, i think you can eat a normal breakfast, with less fat

Thank you all for your answers. Do ye think that a protein shake without the fruit would suffice? because I usually head straight for the track after breakfast (not ideal but the only option most of the time). I wonder how MVP in jamaica time their meals as they train exceptionally early, does anyone know?

if you have another source of carb, it will not a problem
