Has anyone read a book called Track and Field: The East German Text Book? Also is there anywhere on the net that I could find info on the training techniques used by the East Germans? My Dad was an East German Track cyclists so I’ve got him on the case.
I have read the book and thought that the training ideas were excellent but the book seemed fairly unorganized. One of the best books still out there though for sprinting.

Many years ago I bought a copy from the IAAF. Maybe you can try there. Also in the Athletics International newsletter, put tgether by Mel Watman and Peter Matthews, there is a guy named Len Lewis who always advertises secondhand books and magz for sale. Ring evenings (01938 552023) or write to him , 3 Aubet Drive, Guilsfield, Welshpool, Powys SY21 9LX, UK

Great book- full of good info, if you look carefully. This book is included in an extensive list of recommended reading in the archives.
