Jordan was 6’5 , compare his height with Pipen who was listed at 6,7. MJ is slighly taller than kobe.
Kobe is 6-4 3/4 without shoes and Jordan is only marginally taller.
NBA Players exaggerate their height, its a well known fact.

Thank you very nice points, the rules are there to help dudes like Dirk.
Yeah he really looks 6.8! Yao must be 7’10:eek:
Are smoking crack now??
I agree, thats why international rules have been changed, now fouls on fast breaks are called just like the nba.
Anway the best shooter the NBA is European , Peja- look at current 3 point %, he has the best in the nba. And even though I am big Ray Ray fan, Peja did skool him in the all star 3 point comps. So your arguement on 3point shooting is not legit.
I would rather be not as good yet still be the winner.
Tom Brady never worried if Peyton Manning was better he just worried about winning. The same with Bill Russell. He didn’t care if most people thought Chamberlin was better. What he cared about was winning. They don’t give out championship banners to the more talented team. They give them to the team that wins.
while the top guys on non usa teams are nba players and dialed into the 24 foot 3 pointer they all grew up playing with the 21’9 line or whatever.
also, the non nba guys are good from the international line.
end of 1st quarter usa by 4. best defensive team usa have sent to the ol (paul/kb/james/bosh/wade/prince).
12 at half…
not looking overly impressive by any means.
but my god, lebron james is an absolute freak.
i think its very impressive they are playing against the host city.
dwight howard looks uninterested playing out there, like when he just got blocked by a 6’9" guy on the break.
kobe is ice cold.
what game are you watching, he got block once and had like 20 poster dunks.
does he have 40pts already? i’m glad he’s 6’11" and can dunk the shit out of the ball cuz he can’t shoot it at all.
who cares about shooting when you can smash the other teams in the post.
they really busted it open this quarter.
and rip and flush by dwade as i type this.
oh no but they still not impressive, booooo usa.
i’m not boo usa at all, i was merely saying the first half was not very impressive for team usa.
did you see argentina got upset? here’s a little writeup from espn.
Lithuania 79, Argentina 75
Easily the game of the day, and not just because the defending Olympic champions lost – but also because they almost pulled off an unlikely win.
The Lithuanians took control after Luis Scola of Argentina missed a pair of free throws with Argentina trailing 42-41 early in the third quarter. Soon after, it was 61-49, but Manu Ginobili began to take over. He scored eight of Argentina’s next 13 points, then fed Andres Nocioni for a long 2-pointer that cut Argentina’s deficit to 75-67 with 3:20 left.
That began an 11-0 run that ended with Scola scoring inside off a pass from Ginobili to tie it at 75-75 with 1:34 remaining. A miss from each team kept things tied into the final minute, and Sarunas Jasikevicius missed a 3 with 38 seconds left to give Argentina another chance to go ahead.
Everyone knew Manu was going to be the man, but his 18-footer was off-target, and Lithuania had the ball with 20 seconds left. Jasikevicius used a high screen to get Fabriacio Oberto to switch onto him defensively, then drove the lane and got the defense to collapse just the slightest bit – but enough to get Linas Kleiza an open look from 3-point range. Kleiza drilled it with 2.1 seconds left, Carlos Delfino turned over the ensuing inbounds pass, and the tournament had its first stunner.
“It’s a great win for us,” Kleiza said. “At the end we almost choked, but we were able to come out with the win – that’s what counts.”
Said Ginobili: “Every time you lose you feel bad. We could have won it, I took a bad shot and missed, and Kleiza hit a big one. In these types of games, sometimes it goes your way and sometimes it goes the other way.”
As you may know in international play it will take the usa 1 or 2 quarters to fill out the other team, so dont be surprise if they are only winning by 5pts at half.
usa by 31. very impressive.
played better the 2nd half.
gave up a few too many open outside shots imo.
will crush angola on tuesday.
