Baserunner to 3rd base coach–why did you hold me up?
Coach–you would have been out by 10 feet. That’s so and so out there…ROOKIE!!!

As tough as Carter was playing catcher… Pete Rose -who was playing 1st on that throw by Parker-would have run right threw him! maybe lol

He does it again:

Old school. Love it.

Oh No he didn’t…lol Wow!
Speaking of OAK
Rickey Henderson created the drive phase by the way lol
when I was a kid…I would play the game of Pickle with my bro’s and friends across the street at the large park.
We played on a slight grade…I always pretended to be Rickey H. on the way up the hill.

Cepedes and Jose Bautista prob have the two best Rf arms and Gardner is prob the best LF

Both are very powerful men.

love seeing the hard block on baseball players with strong arms. roald bradstock catches a bunch of flack on a few baseball sites I’ve perused so it’s ironic that the hardest throwers display much of the javelin-esque mechanics he recommends.

mike marshall’s “unique” mechanics really are just a javelin arm action as well. I’m under the impression that throwing a point mass gives more lee-way mechanics wise than a spear but that good baseball mechanics are really simply javelin mechanics on a flatter plane despite so many coaches claiming they are so different. if someone has trouble switching from baseball to javelin they probably just had subpar baseball mechanics or range of motion.

same with speed on the basepaths. many fast players don’t run the same way a track athlete accelerates, but really only minor adjustments for heavier shoes and less solid surface are needed imo

I know i would’ve benefitted greatly training mechnicas from a track perspective in other sports, never could quite figure out why field sports seem so insistent upon training skills practically identical to track events in less efficient ways
