An effort to have triathlon included in the 2016 Paralympic Games may make racing more difficult for some athletes.
“I have spent my life learning to adapt to my disability, trying to become independent and good at what I do,” Scheidies said. “Why would I want to increase my disability?”
Because officials believe the rule will level the playing field among the blind, and lead to triathlon’s inclusion at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Seems fair to me.
