Well actually the first time i did a full glute ham raise was not too long ago and i already had alot of strength in my hamstrings an lower back. but i did alot of squats and straight leg deadlifts, with a good amount of normal deadlifts. i use to do leg curls but not anymore.

I have a meet this saturday in irvine, ca. Its the Irvine Invitational.

Squat cleans are where you drop into a full squat position to recieve the bar. Power cleaning is where you catch the bar in a quarter squat. It is just very odd for someone to be able to be able to power clean such a high % of their squat.
oh. yea we do power cleans. we dont squat under the bar like the olympic guys do. i was told by my friends thatthe bar moves kinda slow at the bottom of the lift but then i explode like hell when the bar is likea foot and a half off the ground. its my favorite lift so i put alot of emphasis on it. i dont know if its good or bad. but right now i am squating 275 for 3 reps in our sets now so thats good for me.
Well today i only ran the 100m. I dont know what my official plase or time was but when i find out tomorrow i’ll post it. here’s how the race went: i fealt really loose and good before this race which was awesome. we got into our blocks and i exploded out to an early lead, which i could only hold up until 45m. my head stayed down and i just drove hard. but the lack of training caused me to slow down quickly. it was a tight race I placed between 2nd and 4th. my coach said my time was about 11.9. exactly where i thought i would be. overall. im happy with today. just need to work on top end speed and speed endurence.
So as of now me and some buddies from my team are going to the nike speed camps. they are this coming wednesday and thursday. and the same days the following week. each day is suppose to being something new that is taught to us. ill let u guys know what they tell us about and how the workouts go.
Today we had a mock meet. i did the 100m and the triple jump. i ran a hand timed 11.86 on our dirt track and tripled jumped 37’3" out of no where. i havent even practiced it this year. again in the 100m i was winning for the first 50m but then fatigue settled in. the winner who is one of our running backs ran 11.5 someting. today was pretty good.
But i REALLY need to start training for real. i need a SOLID training regimene.
2x2 legged bounds in the viper ropes
2x box Jumps (over) O o O o O o O (big, little, big, little…)
2x box jumps (up) (progressivly bigger) the last box comes up to my first rib or so.
Went to the track at about 6:00pm so it was a little chilly but after my warm up and stretches i fealt really good and loose. I also fealt real fast which is awesome. today was a speed/speed endurence kinda workout.
