It all depends on what the point of the workout is.
It appears all the “fitness work” is 1:1, and the faster sprints are more intensive in nature ala traditional “conditioning” seen in US colleges.

I have had great success using CF style tempo for soccer players, many who are the fittest kids on the team, if not the top few.
