Conditioning Times for Soccer

I am a soccer strength professional and I have been given a program for summer conditioning for collegiate soccer players.

Please give me your thoughts on these target times and recovery times for each distance:

1mile 5:30-5:45 recovery 6min
half mile 2:40-2:50 recovery 3min
800meters 2:30-3:00 recovery 3min
600meters 2:00-2:15 recovery 3min
400meters 65-75sec recovery 90sec
300meters 45-55sec recovery 60sec
200meters 30-33sec recovery 45sec
150 meters 20-23 sec recovery 30sec
100 yard strider 13-15sec recovery55sec
75 meters 12-14 sec recovery 30sec

These are just general guidelines I’m assuming? Although I have seen some college workouts look like this.

It all depends on what the point of the workout is.
It appears all the “fitness work” is 1:1, and the faster sprints are more intensive in nature ala traditional “conditioning” seen in US colleges.

If you search the soccer threads on the forum, you will see lots of info on fitness requirements.

I have had great success using CF style tempo for soccer players, many who are the fittest kids on the team, if not the top few.

I think the distance work is overhyped in soccer.
