Coffee, caffiene and sprinting

I am a BIG coffee drinker…I drink in excess of 5 cups daily. I do drink loads of water a day also, so I know Im not I dehydrated.

A stiff coffee before a race seems to stimulate my senses and improve my reaction time in blocks…

Is that really happening, or is it actually hampering my ability to race more effectively.
