Training can increase the ability of the CNS to recover, but also brings increased MU recruitment, making high intensity work more demanding. Do you find these effects keep pace or do advanced athletes do less % of training at HI? I ask because weightlifting is CNS intensive and elites can still train 4 to 5 days at high intensity.

I also wonder whether the capacity of the CNS is significantly improved through training.

It IS improved but the demands on it go up with improved capacity for high intensity work.

How would an athletes efficiency play into the overall usage and development of an athletes CNS Charlie.

I am asking if an athlete is very efficient do they use more or less of the their CNS ‘stores’?

And if you are not efficeint do you use more CNS with the wasted movement?
