Problem is that things deteriorate in a hurry! This is the only large site that is available for free training advise and exchanges of ideas. It’s been sucessful because we’ve kept it on track!
I agree, and on other forums that I frequent I find that the chatroom feature is just a waste of space cuz most people dont bother to use it.
The chat room would be a good idea if it was on at a certain time every day. Sort of like a chat show with Charlie/Herb etc as the Hosts/Moderators and us as the audience/question askers/answerers. This way it could be properly moderated and the jokers with their unnecessary comments would stay away and could easily be booted.
I understand what Charlie means tho…because the way the site is ran is a great reference point that you can return to again and again…with chat rooms you may hear/see what you want and have no available methods of returning to the answer or information cos it half way up the screen!
The only way it could work is if it was occassional - heavily moderated and on specific topics at any one time - pretty unfeasable to set up with the amount of members keen to attend at any one time tho I should imagine.
