Rupert,

Off topic, but can’t believe your new avatar is “Bling-Bling” and his crack-pipe… Hahah wow… Bumfights, good stuff…

Now on to the point, cool addition! May have to check this short training vid out very soon.

I’m glad somebody noticed. That video was the worst of all time. I’ll never look at Las Vegas the same way again.

As for Bling-Bling…he didn’t make out too badly. Reports have him making around $300kUSD per year just by being himself. He has a profile on MySpace thats worth checking out.

On the note of the movie, the producers of the films were arrested and handed a wide variety of charges. It was also shown they made $10 million in 1 month with this popular “urban warfare” series of movies.

Lots of controversy…eitherway…Bling Bling was pretty funny.

Wow. Bling Bling can buy alot of his goods with that kinda money! haha. Yeah it was pretty f’d up some of the stuff they did to those bums; well actually all of it was pretty messed up!

Sure was popular though!

I got my copy today good stuff!!!

Quick question for Charlie:

Are there any differences between a weighted vest and the wieght plate?

Thanks

Weighted vest should be fine. the only problem I’ve found with that set-up is that they start to get pretty ripe after a bit!

That’s why I am the only one allowed to use it!

But I do like the fact that holding the wieght works the arms and shoulders.

Great video though…

Will a separate section be available for discussion on the product, or is this thread fine for posting questions? Thanks!

Rupert, as with the last video, will us lonely Mac users be able to email you for a mac version? I have Windows player for mac but it doesn’t fair well with avi files.

Hey Flash,

I also have a mac and I downloaded the new speed and strength video and it downloaded as a quicktime video so I was able to watch it right away no hastles.

Nice post Bobby.

Damn Mac Users…(wait…I am a Mac user)

once bought, can it be copied so I can view it on the tv or is it Media Player Only? Thanks.

As I can’t see a separate thread for the product…
Charlie,

  1. what phase is this athlete in at the time of the video? Any other (general) info about his background?
  2. someone else mentioned the movement of his arms; is this something you would look for an athlete to display?
  3. when would you start the loading, i.e., in an athlete’s career, training phase, etc?
  4. would you always follow the sequence/progression shown in the DVD? Would you change it at all and why/when?

That’s enough, I think, for now…
On your own time…

The nature of this work out sounds about the same as hills (low on the CNS yet power related) Does anyone think a session like this can be replace a hill day during a gpp?

Thanks!

The CNS intensity of the power seed is affected by the no of reps, the length and the load. Stay short enough and you stay out of the high intensity area. Move it up a notch and you’re and it’s a different story. If the weather turns ugly, you could indeed replace hills with a tough session consisting solely of power speed.

Charlie,
any comments on any of the above?
Thanks!

They can get very challenging anywhere from 15-20m with just a medball (my kids found that out this weekend :))

Thanks for the info CF. The “real time” series is a great addition!!!
