It matches his PB from last year, but I still think he has ways to go in the 100m. His time is now the world leading time, going past Powell’s recent 10.04, but we all know these things dont last long
1.8m/s tailwind.

Hhmm Bolt somewhere between 9.89-9.93??
I’m very impressed. It’s still so early. I really don’t know what to expect, but I am convinced there’s a sub 10 in there!
Bolt is the kid that will surprise many in the 200m over next few years.
people have been saying that about him in the 200 and 400 since about 2003 or 2004.
He won’t surprise anyone. He’s been achowledged as a freak talent since he dominated world juniors in 2002 and has so far been relatively disappointing compared to the potential many believe he had. That’s six years ago; Time is flying and now he has Tyson Gay and others to contend with at 200. And with Wariner in the 400 . . . don’t even go there.
He’s good but as I said ways to go if he wants to live up to his “potential.”
You know, I reckon your physical potential is often limited by your mental potential; by the choices you make with coaching setup, commitment to your goals etc. Maybe he has already fulfilled his “potential”.
Of course I hope not. I hope for him it’s a blue sky scenario and we all rejoice in his success in Beijing
I STRONGLY believe in mental decisions = physical limitations. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I think Bolt can hit 9.9. You have to factor out the wind on his first race though, I’m sorry. He is definitely one to watch out for in the 200m dash. Imagine if he can pull out a gold in Beijing.
If He can get faster in the 100 then I think he might be able to beat gay in the 200. Bolt is the best curve runner in the world! I wish jamaica’s 4x100 would realize that.
I agree look how strong he is in this race, I thought he was gonna pull it out for a second.

How OLD is he? And how old WAS he in 2003 and 2004?

This time I would disagree, if I may 10.03 is his PB so the curve is on the way up. The boy wants to win gold in “Peking”. Will he? Well, I reckon he can.
