Bodyfat

Bodyfat: Is there any hinderence to low amounts to higher amounts. I want to bring it up.

Not sure whats an optimal amount for sprinters.

Also are there any better machines to calculate it. I’ve been using some handheld machine and it gives me a certain percentage, an hour later, it has increased to one percent higher, and then goes down a little. Pisses me off.

I want to go to Northeastern University, and ask them for a bodyfat measurement, but I would perfer some quick utility.

As of right now I’m using a machine that I insert, weight, height, male, bodyfat:(either normal of althete), and i press start, and measures it.

Can’t tell if its accurate or not.

So sorry, just curious whats the optimal sprinter bodyfat % and how can I increase it.

BTW: If you do know, what is your bodyfat %?

I apologize, I didn’t notice a seperate thread. I looked in this area, and didn’t find any. My bad.

realistically you want to get your BF% as low as you can.most sprinters at elite level are ranging from 5-8%.you want the least amount of waste tissue due to the fact that fat has no apparant aid other than heat.F1 cars are stripped down to the minimum to get max performance while on the other hand to be powerful but lite.these 2 go hand in hand and the exact same applies to sport
