Charlie and the rest,do you really believe that ben achieved such greatness partly because he never jobs outside the track ?

When did he start making money out of the sport ? how did he live till that moment ? just track, food, sleep ?

I guess he had supportive parents no ?

He was first “carded” in 1981, meaning he got some help with high-school type expenses and the club looked after the rest. By 1982 he got a very small stipend from Adidas, which helped further. He really didn’t start making much money till 1984.
