this is the race where BJ runs into a person who is taking photos 10m or so after the finish line and goes flying into the air and lands on his back. This vid doesn’t show it though.
I think this is the same person that goes flying “ass over lens cap”? (speed trap) after being pushed by BJ coming to CF’s rescue.

I’m looking for the 1984 race in Cologne. The one where BJ has a sub .10 R/T?

Famous CF story and yes this is the same person spoken about in Speed Trap.

Here is a longer version of that incident;

I see that CF was really getting into it with someone at the 8:53 Mark of the vid
2nd time that year BJ got “flipped over” after a race. 1987 60M.

I had a vid of him grabbing onto a curtain after a 60m race to slow his fall down off the steps or something onto cement Indoors. He was very lucky he got a hold of it… otherwise, he could have seriously been hurt. It would have been quite a fall.

"York was where my running life started. A young up and coming runner on the scene, I started with a club called The Flemington Flyers. The run club was coached by the one and only Charlie Francis and my teammates included two very promising young Jamaican athletes. Ben Johnson and Angella Taylor-Issajenko. They were sprinters and I was the long distance runner training for the 800M and 1500M disciplines…

here’s a more recent one…
