HELSINKI, Dec 31 DPA - A Finnish computer security firm today warned of a so-called email worm called Luder-A or Tibs.jy that is spread with a New Year’s greeting.

Happy New Year!’’ subject (or similar), the company, F-Secure, said.
If a user opens the attached file, it tries to find email addresses and sends copies of itself to. The worm also tries to shut down the computer’s safety programs, the company said.
F-Secure listed the Luder virus-worm as a level 2 on its three-scale list, saying it was a moderate danger to computer systems.
F-Secure defines worms as ``a computer program that replicates independently by sending itself to other systems’’.
