Don’t know if this will line up correctly, but here are the Berlin men’s 100m splits for final and semis

Looks like Charlie was spot on with his prediction that, on this track, improvements would be seen in the top speed phase of the race. Bolt’s 60m split was the same as in Beijing, and Asafa’s 60m split was rather slow for his standards, while his top speed was about as good as it has ever been.

Gay split 6.39 as opposed to 6.36 when he ran his windy 9.68, so he reached about the same top speed here as he did with a 4 m/s tailwind last year.

Chambers split 6.50, so his second half actually wasn’t bad at all.

Usain must have hit a .80 10m split somewhere between 60 and 80m, which means that his top speed is quite a bit better than it was in Beijing. I can’t wait for the 200m!
