Bench

Not only in the Charlie Francis weights for speed edition, but also from reading or hearing talks from other coaches, the bench press can be used to stimulate the entire system (even lower body)… I’ve been using this lately during the season and I like these results. How many of you have fallen back on this plan? I like it a lot. There’s also a crossing over effect laterally from one side of the body to the opposite side. For example, if you do plyometrics on one leg, the other gets a slight gain in strength and coordination. This is really good for when one side is injured.

What are your experiences with the effect of one exercise’s effects drifting to other parts of the body? It’s an interesting phenomena if you ask me…
