Nestle Recalls Caramel Kit Kat Chunky Bars
Friday March 30, 2007
You can still take a break, just do it carefully.
A variation on one of Canada’s most popular chocolate bars took a hit Friday, when Nestle Canada announced a voluntary recall on all Caramel Kit Kat Chunky Bars.
Nestle is warning chocolate lovers to steer clear of the snack, after it was discovered some packages may contain hard pieces of plastic.
The good news is, that at least for now the rest of the Kit Kat family are still good to be munched on, and no other Kit Kat or Nestle products are affected by the recall.
In the meantime, stores Canada-wide are being asked to do their part in keeping customers safe by pulling all the recalled bars from their shelves.
There have been no cases of injury or illness related to the Caramel Kit Kat Chunky, and in a statement Friday Nestle called the recall a strictly precautionary measure.
There’s no timetable for when the recalled product will be back and ready for break time.
